We have an incredible community!!! All are welcome!!!
Good things to know before you get started!!!!
Everyone can do this! And all levels will benefit!!!
This is a series of 26 beginner level postures. This powerful series, is done in an exact order to systematically work every system in your body. Inside and Out!!! You will notice changes and improvements with everything from chronic pain to diabetes, and much much more!!! With doing the same postures, you gain confidence, allowing yourself to gauge your progress and find more stillness, as you become more familiar with the postures.
Tremendous purpose is placed on doing things the "right way", up to the point that your body is ready. Hatha yoga is based on discipline, please attempt postures as they are described, trying them to the best of your ability. Rather than changing what we consider is the medicine, instead.......develop patience, and allow your body to change with the postures. Treat the study of these postures as if you were learning to walk. You are taking baby steps. If you do 5% of the posture, the right way, you absolutely will get all of the benefits and see steady improvement. With consistent practice, not only will this yoga change how your body looks and feels, but how it works as well!
Wear something light and comfortable. Most women prefer wearing fitted spandex or running shorts, jogging bra, workout shirt, or fitted tank tops. For men, we recommend swimming trunks or shorts.
Bring a bottle of water, a mat, and 2 full-size towels ( one for yoga and one for shower)
The room is heated. The instructor closely monitors the heat and humidity. Please do your best and take care of yourself.
Have faith in the process!!! Have fun!!! See you in the hot room!!!
