Sessions with Eune
Eune started her Bikram yoga practice in New York city in 2002 when she was working as an IT professional, but suffering from stress and physical pain from sitting all day in front of a computer. She found tremendous benefits from regular practice, she decided to quit her job and become a Bikram yoga teacher, received her Bikram Certification in the Fall of 2005. After the training, she set to work teaching in Korea, New York City, and New Jersey studios, now carrying over a decade of teaching under her belt.
Eune believes in doing postures "right" to get the most benefit from our daily Bikram yoga practice, focuses on alignments and individual corrections when she teaches classes based on her teaching and practicing experience.
Sessions with Lisa Marie
I began my regular Bikram practice in the winter of 2012, and realized almost immediately that I wanted to be a teacher. My practice keeps me challenged and provides a quiet place in my brain, two things I believe are key to feeling youthful and staying sane in a loud and frenetic world. It teaches me patience with myself and others, and that all things are yoga: related and a work in progress. A bonus is that my family likes me much better since I started my Bikram practice - I am sober, much more calm and less anxious in general, and I even quit smoking the day before training, never to smoke again.
I love teaching! That look on a student’s face the first time they get both hands up in toe stand, and the shining happy faces after class... Teaching has given me faith in and hope for humanity: just watching people come in and try to better themselves, the hard and honest way, one day at a time, is so inspiring!
